Something that I’ve done sort of “on the side” ever since I graduated High School is design. I went to a great design school in South Africa and worked at a magazine right after that, starting out as junior designer and before I quit to travel on the Pro Surfing Tour, I was head designer of one of their publications.

After 15 years being away from magazine design, an opportunity came my way to work as Art Director on Rogue Magazine. I jumped at the chance because it’s been a while, and I really do enjoy working in that format.
